Eye Test

Fluorescein Angiography

Fluorescein angiography (FA) is an eye test used to study blood circulation in the retina and choroid. The test involves injecting a dye called sodium fluorescein into a vein in the arm. Fluorescein binds to plasma proteins and makes the blood vessels visible under blue light.

It is an invasive test because it requires access to the bloodstream. It provides valuable information to your doctor, supporting surgical planning and the early detection of disease.
