Contact Lens-Related Keratitis

Contact lens-related keratitis is inflammation or infection of the cornea (the clear layer at the front of the eye), caused by incorrect or prolonged contact lens use. Common causes include wearing lenses beyond the recommended time, inadequate cleaning of the lenses and their storage case, and wearing lenses while showering, swimming or using hot tubs.
