Eye Condition
Conjunctival Tumors
Conjunctival tumors are abnormal tissue growths in the conjunctiva, the membrane covering the white of the eye (sclera) and the inner surface of the eyelids. Like other parts of the body, the conjunctiva can develop tumors, which may appear as swellings or changes in color. Causes vary and include genetic factors (individual predisposition) and excessive exposure to sunlight.
Some Symptoms
- A foreign body sensation in the eye.
- Growth of a raised lump or mass.
- Redness at the site of the tumor.
- Changes in the color of the conjunctiva.
