Intravitreal Anti-inflammatory Injection
An intravitreal anti-inflammatory injection delivers an anti-inflammatory medicine directly into the vitreous, the gel that fills the inside of the eye. This technique delivers the medicine in a localized, concentrated form to control inflammation more effectively. Intravitreal anti-inflammatory injections are a valuable treatment for controlling eye inflammation in various conditions, including retinal edema secondary to diabetic retinopathy, uveitis, venous thrombosis and eye surgery, among others. They help preserve vision with a lower risk of side effects than other routes of administration.
