Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT)

Selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) is a laser procedure used to lower intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma and ocular hypertension (OHT). Raised IOP is an important risk factor for developing glaucoma, a disease that can lead to vision loss. SLT is a safe, effective and minimally invasive first-line treatment for glaucoma and OHT, offering an alternative to eye drops and helping to preserve vision in patients with these conditions. This treatment requires a lens to be placed in contact with the eye.
