Eye Test

Ultrasound Pachymetry

Ultrasound pachymetry is an eye test that measures the thickness of the cornea, the transparent part of the eye in front of the iris and pupil. It uses a probe that touches the eye after numbing eye drops have been applied. The cornea accounts for around two-thirds of the eye’s focusing power, and its thickness is important when assessing eye health and suitability for certain surgical procedures.

It is a quick, painless and precise test that provides valuable information to the ophthalmologist, supporting the early diagnosis of disease and the preservation of sight.
